EMMA DAKIN

Principal Solicitor

Emma was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2016 after graduating from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours).

Before commencing her legal career with Dakin Law, Emma worked as a Court Officer in the NSW Local Court, gaining valuable insight into the operation of the justice system and the realities faced by people navigating legal proceedings.

Emma practises in the areas of:

• Family Law parenting and property matters

• Criminal law and Traffic Law

• Conveyancing and Property Law

• Estate Planning, Will Drafting, Probate Applications and Deceased Estate Administration.

Emma combines legal knowledge and professional experience with a straightforward and personable approach. She understands that engaging a lawyer can often come at a difficult or uncertain time, and is committed to providing clients with reliable advice, practical solutions and representation. Her approach is practical, considered and outcome focussed, with an emphasis on providing clients with clear advice and making the legal process as straightforward as possible.

Emma has held executive positions with the Far North Coast Law Society and the NSW Young Lawyers’ Committee. Emma has co-authored a peer-reviewed article published in the Australian Intellectual Property Journal and is an active member of the Australian Army Reserves.
